About me
Ann Jennings is a 2001 graduate of the University of Virginia and a 2015 graduate of Longwood University with a BA in English and an MEd. in School Librarianship respectively. She taught English to 10th-grade students for seventeen years (2002-2019) at Fluvanna County High School and is thrilled to continue working with teens at FCHS as a librarian since 2019. The best part of her job is getting to talk about wonderful YA books all day with students, the challenge of growing a maker space, Wednesday morning student book club, and getting to work with an amazing, fun librarian who loves to read and talk books as much as I do! In her personal time, she loves camping, cooking, and curling up with a good book - be it in print or from her beloved Audible subscription. Ann adores coffee, quirky sitcoms, her swoony, rugged, ag teacher hubby, and her three cats - not necessarily in that order. Her favorite fiction genres are YA romance, YA mystery and adventure, and YA historical fiction - in that order. When she was a little girl, Ann wrote a semi-autobiographical piece about a bar of soap named Dove whose father melted away, though her actual parents were both very much alive and in solid form. One day when she grows up, Ann would like to write novels herself. Until then, she writes pieces like this nonsense that she is almost certain no one will ever read.
